Tourism Sector Surveys
To better understand the needs and constraints of the West Flores eco-tourism industry we conducted 3 different surveys.
The customer satisfaction survey focused on tourists who have been visiting West Flores. The purpose was to better understand the market segment based on different visitors’ profiles which then enable all the tourism stakeholders to response correctly.
The sub-sector survey involved the local tourism service providers such as hotels, restaurants, tour operators, dive operators, transportation providers, guides and the souvenir sector. The aim was to better understand the constraints and potential solutions to improve the quality of existing eco-tourism facilities and services.
The Demand survey focused on tour & travel operators based in Bali with given or potential products and linkages to the Labuan Bajo tourism area. The aim of the survey was to provide quantitative information on composition of visitors based on specified profile/ type, the constraints regarding the development of products and the linkages to specified tourism area and supply channels.
